180 Industrial Maintenance & Troubleshooting delivers hands-on diagnostics and maintenance consulting for manufacturers who can't afford to wait. Electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic — we find the fault and fix the process.
We don't consult from a conference room. We show up, read the system, and get your equipment back online — then build the processes to keep it there.
Control circuit diagnostics, PLC/HMI fault isolation, motor and drive issues, wiring failures, and sensor faults. We trace the signal to the source.
Bearing failures, gearbox issues, vibration analysis, structural wear and fatigue — systematic mechanical diagnostics grounded in hands-on experience.
Circuit analysis, pressure bleed-off, valve and solenoid diagnostics, pump performance testing, cylinder and actuator faults, valve sequencing, and compressed air system diagnostics.
Shift from firefighting to proactive operations. We audit your current maintenance posture and build systems that reduce unplanned downtime structurally.
Build or overhaul your preventive maintenance program — task libraries, frequency schedules, asset prioritization, and technician accountability frameworks.
Hands-on training that builds real diagnostic thinking in your maintenance team — not slide decks, but structured problem-solving methodology applied to your actual equipment and systems.
West Point engineering. Army aviation. Plant management at RockTenn, Dura-Line, NOW Foods, and PepsiCo. We've run the floor, managed the team, and fixed the machine.
Real diagnostic work — schematic analysis, circuit tracing, system-level thinking. We don't arrive with a PowerPoint. We arrive with a multimeter and a plan.
We don't create dependency. Every engagement leaves your team better equipped to identify and solve problems on their own.
A DBA of 180 Advancement Solutions Group — a Florida-based operational excellence consultancy founded by engineers and operators who've led manufacturing plants, not just studied them.
We specialize in the problems that stump your maintenance crew — the intermittent faults, the repeat failures, the machine that's been down for weeks with no clear answer. We dig in where others give up.
Fast intake, structured diagnostics, documented findings — no black-box consulting, no wasted time.
Describe the fault, system, and urgency. We assess scope and confirm availability — often same day.
On-site or remote review of symptoms, schematics, history, and system behavior to frame the diagnostic approach.
Systematic troubleshooting using structured logic — eliminate, test, confirm. No guessing, no parts-throwing.
Root cause documented, corrective action implemented, and knowledge transferred to your team in writing.
We work where equipment failure has real consequences — production loss, safety risk, and customer impact.
Founder, 180 Industrial Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Mac Davis brings nearly 15 years of direct, plant-floor maintenance experience to every engagement — not as an observer, but as the person called in when the machine is down and production is stopped. A mechanical engineer by training (United States Military Academy at West Point, Class of 2003), Mac has spent his career turning that engineering foundation into hands-on results: diagnosing hydraulic failures, resolving electrical faults, improving machine performance, and building the institutional knowledge that keeps equipment running.
Before founding 180 IMT, Mac held plant management and operations leadership roles at PepsiCo, NOW Foods, Dura-Line, and RockTenn — backstopping maintenance teams across a wide range of industrial equipment and manufacturing environments. He doesn't quote theory. He's read the schematics, pulled the components, and run the tests.
When the problem goes deeper than the machine — when it's the system, the process, or the culture around maintenance — that work lives at 180 OpEx Consultants.
